A small software company that owns what it ships.

Eastern Gate Software, LLC is a Wisconsin limited liability company. We write the code, run the servers, and answer for both.

That matters more than it sounds. There is no outsourced development team, no handover to a support desk that has never seen the source, and no vendor in between us and the business relying on the software. When a shop cannot take a booking on a Saturday morning, the people who can fix it are the people who built it.

An event venue runs on three questions: what is booked, what is owed, and what the room looks like on the night. VenuFlo keeps all three in one place — rooms, catering, contracts and payments against a single event.

It is the same discipline as Chair Management on a longer clock. A chair is booked for Tuesday afternoon; a ballroom is booked fourteen months out, with a deposit, a contract and a menu attached to it.

What is the relationship between Eastern Gate Software, Chair Management and VenuFlo?

Eastern Gate Software, LLC is the company. Chair Management and VenuFlo are the products it builds and operates. The LLC holds the software, the infrastructure and the business relationships for both.

Is VenuFlo available now?

Yes. VenuFlo has been live since March 2025, sold and supported by Eastern Gate Software alongside Chair Management. Version 2.0 is available now at venuflo.com. If you run a venue and want to talk about it, get in touch.

Do you handle card payments yourselves?

No, and deliberately so. On Chair Management, card payments are processed by Square — an in-person charge is handed to the Square Point of Sale app, and the card is read there. On VenuFlo, payments are processed by Stripe. In neither case are card numbers entered into, transmitted by, or stored in our software.

Are the mobile apps real apps, or a website in a shell?

Real apps. There are native iOS apps written in Swift and native Android apps written in Kotlin — a client app and an artist app on each platform — sharing the same backend as the web application.

Can a shop with several artists use one account?

Yes. Artists each have their own chair, clientele and financials, while a shop owner or admin sees across the whole floor. Someone who both owns the shop and works a chair can switch between the two views.

What languages are supported?

The artist and shop-admin tools are available in English, Spanish, Korean and Vietnamese. The client-facing side is English.
